 So you want to become a REALTOR®


Are you sure about this? What makes you want to become a REALTOR®? There's a lot of good reasons to become one, but they all come down to these 3 reasons.

    2. FLEXIBILITY
    3. UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL 

The truth is that to achieve #3 that you're going to have to sacrifice both #1 & #2 for a while. However you can still have a great quality of life you can certainly enjoy all 3!  But before you can starting enjoying any of them; you need to get your license! 


How do you get licensed in Alberta


 


 In this video, I explain the process to get your license within the Province of Alberta. RECA (Real Estate Council of Alberta) is the governing body for all things Real Estate. They are in charge of the licensing process. Check out the step by step process by clicking here 

To become licensed you're going to have to complete a couple of different courses. Fundamentals of Real Estate is a requirement regardless of which discipline you're going to choose next. Once you've completed it, you'll have the choose of either Residential, Commercial, Rural or Property Management. You're welcome to complete more than 1 however I recommend focusing on one and then adding the others as you progress in your career. 

The final step is to select your Brokerage. Which is going to be my next BLOG post. So I'm going to go into more details then; however its important to do your research and pick a Brokerage that adds value to your career. Learn more about MaxWell Devonshire Realty
